Ceci N'est Pas Ma Corps: This is Not My Body
Artist Book Coming Soon 2026
"This is not my body because the systems that claim to see it do not recognize it. They render it as data, as error, as aesthetic. The Black Femme image exists at the intersection of surreal abstraction and biometric violence. It is visible and unseen. It is extracted, circulated, memed, categorized—but never held as whole.” — Kameo Chambers, 2025
Drawing from glitch feminism, spiritual authorship, and postcolonial refusal, this work unpacks the failures of representation across digital, physical, and archival space. It interrogates surveillance systems, beauty rituals, and virtual avatars not to fix them, but to fracture them—to build new mythologies from what remains.
Through distortion, assemblage, and testimony, this book does not seek legibility. It seeks liberation.
