Does Size Matter? — Medieval Metalwork and Enamel (2024)
Art historical writing and presentation examining medieval metalwork and enamel through the lens of materiality, scale, and power. The work situates objects within their geographic and cultural contexts, analyzing how craftsmanship, location, and patronage shaped hierarchies within the medieval craft industry. By interrogating size as both physical and symbolic, the project reframes how value and authority are constructed through material practices.
